Clear Aligners

Clear aligners for teeth straightening at Willerby Dental Care

Straighter Teeth With Clear Aligners.

Teeth can be straightened using either Clear Aligners or Wire and Brackets. Both systems are effective— the choice will depend on your goals, complexity of the case, and lifestyle.

Clear Aligners (WDC Clear Aligners, Spark, Invisalign)

Invisible braces are clear, removable aligners that straighten teeth discreetly. They’re a popular option for those who want a nearly invisible way to improve their smile.

Benefits of Clear Aligners:

  • Straighter teeth in as little as 3-6 months (simple cases)
  • Discreet and clear—hardly anyone will notice
  • Fix gaps, crowding and misalignments
  • Requires fewer clinic visits
  • Affordable with 0% finance plans
  • Digitally planned for accurate, predictable outcomes
  • See your future smile before treatment starts

What to Expect: Step by Step

1. Consultation and digital scan — we take a 3D scan of your teeth and map out your entire treatment digitally, so you can preview your projected new smile before committing.
2. Custom aligners — a series of clear, removable aligners is made specifically for your teeth, each one making small, gradual movements.
3. Wearing your aligners — worn for 20–22 hours a day, removed only for eating, drinking and brushing, and changed for the next set in the series roughly every one to two weeks.
4. Retention — once your teeth reach their final position, a retainer keeps them there long-term.

Caring for Your Aligners

Aligners should be removed before eating or drinking anything other than water, and teeth should be brushed before putting aligners back in to avoid trapping food or bacteria against the teeth. Aligners themselves should be cleaned daily with a soft brush and lukewarm water.

Who Are Clear Aligners Suitable For?

Clear aligners suit patients with mild to moderate crowding, gaps, or bite issues who want a discreet, removable option. For more complex movements, fixed braces may be recommended instead — we'll confirm which is right for you at your consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does clear aligner treatment take? Simple cases can take as little as 3–6 months, though more complex cases take longer.

Are clear aligners removable? Yes — they should be removed for eating and drinking anything other than water, and for brushing.

How many hours a day should I wear them? For best results, aligners should be worn 20–22 hours a day.

Will aligners affect my speech? Most patients adjust within a few days with no lasting change to speech.

Are clear aligners noticeable? No — they're virtually invisible, which is why many adult patients prefer them.

Do I need a retainer afterwards? Yes — a retainer is provided once treatment finishes to protect your results long-term.

Are clear aligners suitable for complex cases? They work best for mild to moderate crowding, gaps or bite issues; fixed braces may suit more complex movements better.
